It’s fallen out of favor, the lament and I wonder why. Is it because we have moved away from God or has the modern world muffled His hearing? I don’t really have anything to lament. I can certainly understand the concept.

Why have you closed the door? How am I supposed to understand my role? What do You want from me?

The modern world, with all its busyness and distractions, is very good at muffling our minds and ears, so we can’t see or hear Him. We need times of quiet to communicate with Him and hear Him.
